George HB Kennedy

George has finally arrived at his new home in London, UK and is hoping to get his back fixed on the NHS. He’s had great fun traveling all around the South Island (the best island according to all the people he met) and Sydney. His favourite things so far: cheesy rolls from Countdown; seeing sperm whales and Hector’s Dolphins in Kaikoura; meeting Teddy and Jason on the trip to Ship’s Cove; walking some of the Queen Charlotte Track and dinner at Furneaux Lodge; Knights of the Sky in Omaka; sea kayaking in Abel Tasman; walking around Farewell Spit and Golden Bay; hurtling along the zip wire at Buller Gorge; seeing seals and seal pups at Cape Foulwind; looking for gold at Mitchell Gully’s Gold Mine; helicopter flight around Ellie de Beaumont and Mount Cook; glacier walking at Fox Glacier; solving puzzles at Puzzling World; posting letters at Ophir Post Office and driving through central Otago; searching for Yellow Eyed Penguins at Oamaru; chilling at the beach in Dunedin; watching porpoises at Porpoise Bay; cruising around Doubtful Sound and Tasman Sea; sitting on the bed at my new home!

George further reports that he had his back re-stitched privately. He thanks all the staff at New Church Road for the wonderful care and attention they gave him.
