George Bear is happy in Portland, Oregon.

Hi friends, I made it to Portland Oregon. Sorry it took awhile to write home. It's a pretty nice place here with rivers a bit like the Avon. I was living with Grandma Dorene and could look out her bedroom window all day at the Willamette river which is flooded right now. But her granddaughter Hadley came for a sleep over and we fell for each other so now I get to go live with her and her West Highland White Terrier called Rigby. She loves me so she promises to look after me and introduce me to all her other toys. She goes to Zoo camp tomorrow as it is Spring break here in America and I get to go with her. Thanks for sending me off on this adventure George Hotel. I am having fun and next time Grandma goes to NZ she promises to come back to the George and stay. I am glad to that everyone is okay, the earthquake was terrible news.
