The George's signature restaurant, Pescatore, has been nominated as one of the 50 finalists in this year's Cuisine NZ Restaurant of the Year Awards. This prestigious competition, now in its sixth year, is the only national restaurant competition in New Zealand. Each restaurant is anonymously visited and assessed by leading local food and wine experts and a highly respected international judge. A final follow up visit decides the ratings and competition winners. The winners of the Cuisine NZ Restaurant of the Year 2010 Awards will be announced on 16 August at an exclusive event for the restaurant industry in Auckland.
