For the 4th consecutive year Christchurch hotel The George has been recognised by the international travel community as being New Zealand’s Leading Boutique Hotel in the prestigious World Travel Awards 2009.
Once again over 150 000 industry professionals from around the world were asked to place their votes for the 2009 nominees, and once again The George has come out on top. Dubbed “the Oscars of the travel industry”, The World Travel Awards is considered to be the most prestigious and comprehensive awards program in the Travel and Tourism industry and are realised as a great achievement.
So what does it take to stay on top time after time? Bruce Garrett, The George’s General Manager, attributes it to The George’s refusal to compromise its high standards and his team’s commitment to excellence as key to The George’s ongoing success.
Although the last 12 months have been challenging for the travel industry, The George has used this time to improve by completing a major room’s refurbishment in August. Bruce is adamant that The George will continue to provide the highest level of service and surroundings to its guests.
