We want you to feel secure and comfortable during your stay.  To help you prepare for your stay at The George here is a breakdown of what you can expect from the check-in experience to check out.

At all levels hand sanitiser is available for all staff, delivery drivers, and contractors at entry points to the hotel and each outlet has a kit that includes; hand sanitisers, protective face masks, disposable gloves, tissues and disinfectant sprays.

Our team has been trained in how to assist you if you become unwell during your stay.  Additional cleaning, sanitizing measures will be put in place if a guest becomes unwell during their stay.  If you start to feel unwell during your stay, please isolate yourself in your room and call Reception (Dial ‘0’).

Please note that from 11.59pm on on 4 April, we will no longer require visitors to present a vaccine pass.

Use of face masks is encouraged but not required for guests and visitors at this level.  You will see all staff in public areas wearing face masks.

 

At ORANGE all of our front line and guest-facing staff are operating at normal levels.  Any external contractors are engaged as required without restriction – so you may see contractors in or around the hotel with a contractor pass displayed.  Administrative staff will all be back on site and operating during normal business hours.

Concierge/Porter Service: Our usual Concierge/Porter services are available.

Restaurant: Continental buffet breakfast service is available.  

Room Service: Full room service menu is available, 24 hours a day.

Event spaces:  Buffet menu service is available at this level.  

Gym/Fitness Room:  Our gym and fitness room is open for your convenience.  Please ask reception or concierge to provide you with a key to this facility. 

Mountain Bikes: At ORANGE our mountain bikes and helmets are available for guest use.

Housekeeping Services:  Daily housekeeping service and turndown service operate as normal.

Laundry: Our guest laundry is available 7 days a week from 7 am until 9 pm.

Check out: Our usual seated check-out and express check-out services will operate.

Public areas:  Contact tracing QR Codes will be in available at Reception if you wish to scan in.  For hotel guests, we encourage you to use the QR Codes, however, your registration card acts as a contact tracing register.  Guests and visitors entering the hotel will be required to provide their My Vaccine Pass until 11.59pm on 4 April 2022.

Restaurant:  No buffet service available at 'Red'. 1-metre social distancing will apply and the restaurant will have capacity restrictions in place to accommodate social distancing requirements.  Guests must produce their My Vaccine Pass on entry to the building.

Room Service: Full room service menu is available, 24 hours a day.

Event spaces:  1-metre social distancing will apply and the event spaces will have capacity restrictions in place (a maximum of 100 people for each 'space') to accommodate social distancing requirements. Guests are required to provide their My Vaccine Pass on entry to the building.  For catering requirements please enquire directly.

Gym/Fitness Room:  Our gym and fitness room is open for your convenience but restricted to one guest at a time.  Please ask reception or concierge to provide you with a key to this facility.

Guests self-isolating

Rooms Service only available

Room service available. Guests to call 50 Bistro/Room Service to order. Front of House to place the order. Once the order is complete, 50 Bistro calls the guest advising the order is ready. The staff member is to use gloves which are removed once returning from the room. The order will be delivered to the room. The bell will be called. The staff member is to leave the room entrance prior to the guest opening the door. The guest removes the plates leaving the tray. The 50 Bistro attendant removes the tray once the guest retrieves the order and closes the door. The 50 Bistro attendant returns to the restaurant disinfecting the tray etc.


No turndown service offered.


Housekeeping of rooms only on departure. Guests may call to request a ‘housekeeping pack’ and self-service.


After departure, an air purification unit will be placed in the room.  Once the air purification unit(s) have been in place for a minimum of 1-hour the room can be serviced by housekeeping. Thorough cleaning using 360 Hygiene disinfecting product.
