Thrive Performance and Wellness offers guests access to a fully equipped training environment just steps from their room. With a range of weights, machines, and functional training equipment, it caters to both those maintaining a structured programme and those fitting in a quick session between meetings or sightseeing.

With small group training and personal sessions available, as well as extended hours from 4:30am through to 11pm, you can train when it suits your schedule. 

 

Reformer Pilates at MPower

TGH_Wellness PackageOf particular enjoyment to our guests, MPower Pilates can be found within Thrive, and provides one-on-one reformer sessions in a studio setting. It’s an excellent option for guests who prefer guided movement without the pace of a traditional gym environment, or those looking to maintain strength and flexibility while travelling.

Sessions can be reserved ahead of your arrival, allowing you to book a time that works with your plans.

 

Explore Christchurch by eBike

TGH_Biking at Hagley ParkFor a different kind of workout, The George’s electric bikes offer an easy way to explore the city and its surroundings. Available to all our hotel guests at a cost of $15 for four hours, ebikes allow you to cover more ground than you would on a standard bike, which makes them ideal for active sightseeing during your stay in Christchurch.

Our city’s flat terrain and established cycleways make exploring easy, and our concierge is on hand to arrange everything you need, including helmets. Bikes are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so book early to enjoy fitness, fresh air and open space.

 

Hagley Park, A Fitness-Lover’s Playground

With tracks ranging from approximately 5.8km to 7.6km, you’ll find it the perfect place for your morning walk or training run.

Wide pathways, open lawns, and mature trees create a setting that lends itself to any type of self-directed activity you can imagine. You’ll also find outdoor fitness equipment throughout the park, along with cycling paths that connect to the wider city network.

For keen golfers, the Hagley Golf Course is located within the park itself, making it easier than ever to enjoy a mid-afternoon 9 holes without leaving central Christchurch.
